what's an MMORPG where i can play as a pirate?
looking for an immersive mmo where i can play as a pirate. would prefer if it had moderately modern graphics, decent PvP, and naval combat. Not a fan of anime or 'Chibi' games.
games i've played (some on the list have nothing to do with pirates, but merely provided here for information).
- Archage = really good naval combat system... boring PvE and the game shit the bed from what i heard, i haven't played in forever, i quit way before their first big patch, only played for a few months. i loved that games piracy and naval combat... but everything else just kinda got annoyed with.
- Lord of the Rings Online = outdated.
- DDO = outdated
- Neverwinter = not a fan of the cash shop system, played long time ago, and briefly came back for warlocks then quit.
- Guild Wars 1 = hella fun
- Guild Wars 2 = heckin' fun(ish)
- City of Heroes / Villains = closed
- World of Warcraft = always a staple... but there's really no naval combat... and playing as a rogue isn't really 'being a pirate'... its just well...boring.
- Dark Age of Combat = Fun, but outdated
- bunch of other mmos' but won't add'em to the list for sake of ease.
